Adult Spiritual Growth

We strive to offer you a variety of Bible studies that help you grow in your faith and understanding of the Bible’s teaching.  In these studies we seek to apply God’s Word to the situations each of us face each day.  Here are some of the studies we offer:

Sunday Bible Study – Our present subject is “Christian Vocation:  Our Life’s Calling in Christ”.

Bible Basics Class – This class walks through the basic teachings of the Bible.  This is an opportunity to ask a pastor all the questions you have ever wanted to ask.  A new class begins two to three times a year.  Email us for details.

Small Group Bible Study – These groups meet in one another’s homes.  This more intimate setting allows opportunity to foster friendships and dig deeper into Bible truths.  Our small groups meet twice a year for 4-6 weeks.  Our next class will begin in July.  If you would like to join in our next study, email us for details.

Ladies’ Bible Study – Monthly meeting to discuss various topics related to faith and life.

Youth

We take seriously our responsibility and privilege to assist parents in training our youth in Christian faith and life.  We want our children to foster friendships with one another.  We also desire to help our children see their special roles within the larger congregation by allowing them to use their abilities in various service around the church.  To do this, we provide the following ministries:

Sunday School – Sundays, 9:15.  Our well-trained staff of teachers leads children ages 3-13 into Bible history, through lessons, crafts, and music.  Each week children discover a core truth based on the events of the Bible story.  Children are then taught to apply these truths to their lives.  Above all, our Sunday school is centered on leading our children to know and believe in God’s love as it is shown to us in Jesus Christ our Savior.

Lutheran Pioneers – This fun program for children, ages 5-14, seeks to build Christian character, instill values, learn useful skills, explore God’s creation, and lead children to serve others in love.  The year culminates with our annual Pioneer camping trip.  We will start up next fall with another year of exciting activities planned.

Confirmation Class – 5th to 8th graders are invited to take a weekly Bible class that walks through the basic teachings of the Bible as outlined in Luther’s Catechism.  This class serves to mature these growing youth in their faith and build Christian friendships.  Classes will start up again in the fall.

Teen Group – Our teens meet together on a monthly basis to grow in God’s Word, have some fun together, and join in service projects.  Email us for more details.

College

A growing number of college students have become a part of our extended church family.  During the school year, we meet twice a month to study the Bible on topics related to the unique life of the collegiate.  Occasionally as our busy schedules permit, we plan fun outings together.
